AAPN Members Responding to Coronavirus

Member Spotlight 1 min read

We are hearing about so many amazing things that our AAPN members are doing in the midst of the COVID19 crisis. Here's a look at a few of them. More to come.

AAPN member Allbirds sent this broadcast:

We’re Better Together

We’re working hard to lift up our healthcare community responding to COVID-19. We’ve already donated $500,000 worth of shoes, but we still have a long list of friends who need support. So now we’re figuring out ways you can do your part, too.

Beginning March 24th and running while supplies last, you can bundle any shoe purchase with a donation to immediately supply a pair of Wool Runners to a healthcare professional who’s already reached out to us. Don’t need a new pair yourself, but still want to help? That’s an option, too. Click here for more information.

(In case, you didn't know Allbirds made an offer a few days ago to provide US healthcare professionals with free shoes.)

This came in from Cotswold Industries too:

James Mckinnon and I would like to share Cotswold Industries - Medical Textile Products Div.

We have a collection of woven barrier fabrics for both Class 1 & 2 applications. They can be used for patient gowns, non-surgical and disposable. We also offer seven current products for both inner and outer cover stock for medical mask construction options. This collection of non woven products are breathable, lightweight, comfortable for long durations and compliant with global standards. The majority of these products can finished with anti-microbial finishes that can help protect all of us.

Please let us know if we can help in anyway. Stay safe and stay connected. Please e-mail me directly at Bill@cotswoldindustries.com for descriptions, pricing and PPT decks or call my cell at 336 456 3009. You can reach James Mckinnon at James@cotswoldindustries.com or his cell at 917 864 6229.

Bill Broadway

Over at Textile World Jim Borneman has provided a link to ASTM International Standards Used for COVID-19 that is free to use for anyone.

These, as mentioned are just a few examples. We always knew that maybe we needed an extra A in AAPN for 'amazing' but these strange times are proving it.
